Environmental & Resource Economics《环境与资源经济学》（月刊）. De Economist《经济学家:荷兰》（季刊）. Since 1852, De Economist, the Netherlands Economic Review, has provided an outlet for high quality research in economics. Economics-The Open Access Open-Assessment E-Journal《经济学》（年刊）. Economics aims to cover all the main areas of economics. Inevitably, articles in different areas of economics are addressed at different audiences. Many of the articles submitted to the journal are standard technical pieces, addressed to a purely academic audience. Others concern economic policy and thus are addressed both to economists and policy makers with some economic background. Yet others are surveys and overviews, often interdisciplinary, addressed to a nontechnical audience.

Through the enhanced new name the journal is reacting to important changes in the research community. Over the last years, Economics of Transition has increasingly received interesting contributions that come from outside the classical transition countries. Moreover, the research agenda of many of our authors has become broader. Beyond the classical questions of transition, the editors perceive a substantial interest for the institutional determinants of economic outcomes, and for the dynamics of institutions. The title change, together with our new Aims and Scope, are a response to these changes, and are designed to keep the journal relevant and to illustrate our continued openness to receive suitable research papers.
