Opto-Electronic Science (光电科学，简称OES) 是由中国科学院光电技术研究所主办的英文科技期刊。Opto-Electronic Science是SCI期刊Opto-Electronic Advances (光电进展，IF 9.636)的第一本姐妹刊，将继续沿用独立自主、开放获取（OA）的办刊模式，但发表内容更专注于光学、光电子及相关交叉学科领域的基础科学和重要突破。

Opto-Electronic Science入选了2020年卓越行动计划高起点新刊项目。OES近期已成功取得国内统一连续出版物号（CN51-1800/O4），将于2022年1月正式出版第1期。

OES栏目设置包括综述（Review Article），原创论文（Original Article），快讯（Letter）等。

Manuscript Preparation & Submission

Pre- and Post-Submissions

Authors are welcome to post pre-submission versions or the original submitted version of the manuscript on a personal blog, a collaborative wiki or a recognized preprint server (such as arXiv and bioRxiv) at any time.

For content published under a Creative Commons license, authors can replace the submitted version with the final published version at publication as long as a publication reference and URL to the published version on the journal website are provided.

Supplementary Information

Supplementary Information is the material directly relevant to the conclusions of an article that cannot be included in the printed version owing to space or format constraints. It is sent for peer-review along with the manuscript, so any such files should be uploaded as you (re)submit your manuscript using ScholarOne online submission system.

The article must be complete and self-explanatory without the supplementary information. Supplementary information enhances a reader’s understanding of the manuscript but is not essential to that understanding. Supplemental Information is posted on the journal's website along with the article when the article is published and may consist of texts, data files, tables, figures or movies. Any supplemental material should be cited as a reference in the manuscript.

If supplementary files are movies, animators, or other separate non-text files, author should submit a text file to explain them (alternatively include a legend list as a separate supplementary file or combined them into text supplementary file).

On acceptance the final version of the peer reviewed supplementary information, it should be submitted in its FINAL form with the accepted manuscript. It can neither be altered, nor added to, after the paper has been accepted for publication.

Sometimes, Supplemental Information do not come into play until a manuscript is resubmitted. When you resubmit a manuscript, you will be given the opportunity to include Supplemental Information files.

Please note that direct web submissions face a limit on the size of accepted files or packages (currently 30 MB per session) - please use compression when transmitting your files.

Submission Guidelines

Initial submission

All submissions should include a manuscript file and optional Supplementary Information files and should be made via ScholarOne online submission system. Using this system, authors can upload manuscript files (text, figures and Supplementary Information) and check on the status of their manuscript. A single file including all text, tables, figures and references in Word Format is preferred, although attachment of separate files in MS Word, text, jpeg, tiff or other commonly used file formats is acceptable.

If an acknowledgement by email is not received within 5 working days, please contact the Editorial Office of OES (oes@ioe.ac.cn).

Revised submissions

If editors or referees propose review to the manuscript, the manuscript will be returned to the author for revising and the author will be notified by Email. After revising the manuscript and writing a detailed reply to the reviewers with a list of changes made to the manuscript, the corresponding author will log onto ScholarOne system to submit a revised manuscript. Please be careful not to submit the revised draft as a new submission.

The author should carefully read the format requirements in the manuscript template and modify it as required. This will reduce later publication delays in the event the editor decides to offer publication of a suitably revised manuscript.

Final proofread

All accepted papers are subject to editing to ensure readability and conformity to OES style. Authors will receive page proofs of their papers by e-mail with a PDF file. Page proof corrections should be returned the OES editorial office as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours of receipt and preferably by e-mail, to avoid publication delays.

Permissions from other publications

If a table or figure has been published before, the authors must obtain written permission to reproduce the material in electronic format from the copyright owner and submit it with the manuscript. The original source should be cited in the figure caption or table footnote. Permission to reproduce material can usually be obtained through the Copyright Clearance Center.
