Though ultimately organismal in focus, the journal publishes manuscripts addressing phenomena at all levels of biological organization.

Freshwater Biology《淡水生物学》（月刊）. Freshwater Biology publishes papers on all aspects of freshwater ecology, including rivers and lakes (fresh or saline), groundwaters, springs, floodplains, rockpools, intermittent and ephemeral streams and wetlands. We include studies of micro-organisms, algae, macrophytes, invertebrates, fish and other vertebrates, as well as those concerning whole systems and related physical and chemical aspects of the environment, provided that they have clear ecological or biological relevance.

Hydrobiologia《水生生物学》（一年21期）. Hydrobiologia publishes original research, reviews and opinions investigating the biology of freshwater and marine environments, including the impact of human activities.Coverage includes molecular-, organism-,community -and ecosystem-level studies dealing with biological research in limnology and oceanography, including systematics and aquatic ecology. In addition to hypothesis-driven experimental research, it presents theoretical papers relevant to a broad hydrobiological audience.

INLAND WATER BIOLOGY《内陆水体生物学》（季刊）. Inland Water Biology publishes thematic reviews and original papers devoted to flora and fauna in waterbodies, biodiversity of hydrobionts, biology, morphology, systematics, ecology, ethology, ecological physiology and biochemistry of aquatic organisms, patterns of biological cycle, structure and functioning of aquatic ecosystems, anthropogenic and uncontrolled natural impacts on aquatic organisms and ecosystems, invasion of nonindigenous species into ecosystems and their ecology, methods of hydrobiological and ichthyological studies.

Harmful Algae《有害藻类》（一年10期）. This journal provides a forum to promote knowledge of harmful microalgae and macroalgae, including cyanobacteria, as well as monitoring, management and control of these organisms. Both original research and review papers will be considered.

Diatom Research《硅藻研究》（季刊）. Diatom Research is the journal of the International Society for Diatom Research. The journal is published quarterly, in March, June, September and December, and welcomes manuscripts on any aspect of diatom biology.

ICES JOURNAL OF MARINE SCIENCE《ICES海洋科学杂志》（一年8期）. The ICES Journal of Marine Science publishes original articles, opinion essays, visions for the future, and critical reviews that contribute to our scientific understanding of marine systems and the impact of human activities on them. The Journal also serves as a foundation for scientific advice across the broad spectrum of management and conservation issues related to the marine environment. Oceanography, marine habitats, living resources, and related topics constitute the key elements of papers considered for publication. This includes economic, social, and public administration studies to the extent that they are directly related to management of the seas and are of general interest to marine scientists. Integrated studies that bridge gaps between traditional disciplines are particularly welcome.
