Comparative Literature Studies《比较文学研究》（季刊）. Comparative Literature Studies publishes comparative critical articles that deal with works in two or more languages, and which may range across the rich traditions of Africa, Asia, Europe, and North and South America, and that examine the literary relations between East and West, North and South. Articles may also explore movements, themes, forms, the history of ideas, relations between authors, the foundations of criticism and theory, and issues of language and translation. Intermedial studies, such as film and literature or graphic novels, are also welcome as long as they adhere to the polyglot principles of comparative studies. College Composition and Communication publishes research and scholarship in rhetoric and composition studies that supports college teachers in reflecting on and improving their practices in teaching writing and that reflects the most current scholarship and theory in the field. The field of composition studies draws on research and theories from a broad range of humanistic disciplines—English studies, rhetoric, cultural studies, LGBT studies, gender studies, critical theory, education, technology studies, race studies, communication, philosophy of language, anthropology, sociology, and others—and from within composition and rhetoric studies, where a number of subfields have also developed, such as technical communication, computers and composition, writing across the curriculum, research practices, and the history of these fields.

The Archiv für das Studium der Neueren Sprachen und Literaturen, founded in 1846, is the oldest journal on modern philology still being published. It is an international journal for German, English, Romance and comparative studies, publishing essays, short notices, with a fairly extensive review session, reflecting the whole spectrum, the present state and the current debates within the individual disciplines covered. Contributions on literary history, textual criticism as well as linguistic and philological problems are accepted.
