Types of papers

Original research papers are original manuscripts that contain new findings in research consistent with the Journal’s aims and scope.

Review articles do not contain new information, but rather summarize emerging trends or recent developments. These papers critically evaluate and summarize existing data and fields of research.

Brief Reports are no more than 5 journal pages long inclusive of all illustrations and a reference list. Brief reports should report innovative methods, tools, processes, and theoretical treatments on aspects of clean technologies or sustainability. This section is being offered for faster publication of newer developments. Papers should have an abstract, a list of keywords, and a list of references. The proper text can be written in any style. The journal reference style however must be maintained. Each issue of the journal will publish these brief reports, up to a maximum of four papers, when available.

Graphical Abstract

Authors must supply a graphical abstract at the time the manuscript is first submitted, so that readers can determine the content and importance of the manuscript at a glance. Graphical abstracts should consist of carefully drawn figures (chemical structures, charts, graphs, or other informative illustration) that show the most striking feature of the article in a pictorial form. The use of color to enhance the value and quality of the graphic is encouraged.

Manuscript Submission

Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities – tacitly or explicitly – at the institute where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.

Permissions

Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format and to include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Any material received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.
