1. SUBMISSION AND PEER REVIEW PROCESS

Once the submission materials have been prepared in accordance with the Author Guidelines, manuscripts should be submitted online at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/fme.

This journal does not charge submission fees.

This journal is a Subscription journal that offers an open access option. Title Page

The title page should contain:

A brief informative title containing the major key words. The title should not contain abbreviations (see Wiley's best practice SEO tips);

A short running title of less than 40 characters;

The full names of the authors;

The author's institutional affiliations where the work was conducted, with a footnote for the author’s present address if different from where the work was conducted;

Acknowledgments.

The present address of any author, if different from where the work was carried out, should be supplied in a footnote.

Main Text File

(Important: the journal operates a double-blind peer review policy. Please anonymise your manuscript and prepare a separate title page containing author details.)

The manuscript must be submitted as separate files: title page, main text file, and figures legends. The main text file should be in Word and include:

A short informative title containing the major key words. The title should not contain abbreviations;

The full names of the authors with institutional affiliations where the work was conducted, with a footnote for the author’s present address if different from where the work was conducted;

Acknowledgments;

Abstract: Please provide an abstract of no more than 150 words containing the major keywords;

Up to six keywords; These keywords should not include words in the title;

Main body: formatted as introduction, materials & methods, results, discussion, conclusion and written in the passive voice;

References;

Tables (each table complete with title and footnotes);

Figure legends must be added beneath each individual image during upload AND as a complete list in the text;

Cover Letters: Cover letters are not mandatory; however, they may be supplied at the author’s discretion.

Figures must be submitted as separate files (in PDF format) and must not be embedded in the main text (Word) file. Tables may also be submitted as separate (Word) files if desirable.

References

This journal uses Harvard reference style. Review your reference style guidelines prior to submission.

Figures and Supporting Information

Figures, supporting information, and appendices should be supplied as separate PDF files. You should review the basic figure requirements for manuscripts for peer review, as well as the more detailed post-acceptance figure requirements. View Wiley’s FAQs on supporting information.
