Author Guidelines

1. SUBMISSION

Authors should note that submission implies that the content has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere except as a brief Abstract in the proceedings of a scientific meeting or symposium.

Once the submission materials have been prepared in accordance with the Author Guidelines, manuscripts should be submitted online at https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/icbjournal.

The submission system will prompt authors to use an ORCID iD (a unique author identifier) to help distinguish their work from that of other researchers. Click here to find out more.

Immunology & Cell Biology will consider for review articles previously available as preprints. Authors may also post the submitted version of a manuscript to a preprint server at any time. Authors are requested to update any pre-publication versions with a link to the final published article.

Immunology & Cell Biology expects data sharing. Review Wiley’s Data Sharing policy where you will be able to see and select the data availability statement that is right for your submission.

2. AIMS AND SCOPE

Immunology & Cell Biology focuses on the general functioning of the immune system in its broadest sense, with a particular emphasis on its cell biology. Areas that are covered include but are not limited to:

Cellular immunology

Innate and adaptive immunity

Immune responses to pathogens

Tumour immunology

Immunopathology

Immunotherapy

Immunogenetics

Immunological studies in humans and model organisms (include mouse, rat, Drosophila etc.)

Word Limit: 3,000 - 6000 words max excluding Abstract, References, figures and tables.

References: Max of 50

Short Communications

Abstract: Unstructured Abstract, max 250 words

Word Limit: 2,000 words max excluding Methods, figures and tables.

Tables/Figures: Max of 4

References: Max of 30

Outstanding Observation Articles

Description: Describe striking reproducible observations that have extremely important conceptual implications but do not necessarily include insights into the underlying molecular mechanism. This manuscript category allows publication of extraordinary findings soon after their discovery.

Abstract: Unstructured Abstract, max 250 words

Word Limit: 3,500 words max excluding, References, figures and tables.

Tables/Figures: Max of 6

References: Max of 50
