Planted forests are a particular focus but manuscripts on a wide range of forestry topics will also be considered. The journals scope covers forestry species, which are those capable of reaching at least five metres in height at maturity in the place they are located, but not grown or managed primarily for fruit or nut production.

International Journal of Forest Engineering《国际森林工程杂志》（一年3期）. IJFE’s scope includes forest engineering operations topics related to the management, harvesting, processing and transport of timber and/or biomass products to industry or other users. Our scope applies to all kinds of forest management and restoration (e.g. short and long rotation; uneven-aged and even-aged; agroforestry) associated with sustainable management, production and transport of timber and biomass products. Our scope normally excludes industrial manufacturing processes (e.g. sawmilling, pulp and paper manufacturing, conversion of biomass into biofuels), materials strength testing, etc. which occur following transport to industry.

European Journal of Wood and Wood Products reports on original research and new developments in the field of wood and wood products and their biological, chemical, physical as well as mechanical and technological properties, processes and uses. Subjects range from roundwood to wood based products, composite materials and structural applications, with related jointing techniques. Southern Forests: a Journal of Forest Science《南方森林：森林科学杂志》（季刊）. Southern Forests: a Journal of Forest Science is one of the leading forestry journals in the Southern Hemisphere. The journal publishes scientific articles in forest science and management of fast-growing, planted or natural forests in the Southern Hemisphere and the tropics. Papers are also encouraged on related disciplines such as environmental aspects of forestry, social forestry, agroforestry, forest engineering and management as well as the goods and services that are derived from forests as a whole. Articles published by the journal are of value to foresters, resource managers and society at large.

Bois et Forêts des Tropiques《热带木材与森林》（季刊）. In 1947, the former Tropical Forest Technical Centre (CTFT), now part of CIRAD, created the journal Bois et Forêts des Tropiques. Since then, it has disseminated knowledge and research results on forests in intertropical and Mediterranean regions to more than sixty countries. The articles, peer evaluated and reviewed, are short, synthetic and accessible to researchers, engineers, technicians, students and decision-makers. They present original, innovative research results, inventions or discoveries. The journal publishes in an international dimension. The topics covered are of general interest and are aimed at an informed international audience.
